It must have been a temporary problem or routing thing, it works now.

Go for Paul, and yeah, I got the big box set up, the "Load Stuff" button the 
Zontology screen will suck down 100K+ triples from schemaweb.info.

Also, subtransactions don't seem to work (ie, keeping the memory consumption 
below 500MB) but commit full transactions works great, albiet a bit slower.  
So for now the import commit a full transaction after aach download, not 
atomic, but it's sample data anyway.
