The 1.0 branch is the maintenance branch and split in two versions: a 
Zope 2.7 version in the Five repository and a Zope 2.8 version in the 
Zope repository. Five 1.0.1 is split in a bugfix release for Zope 2.7 
and Five 1.0.1-z28 shipped with Zope 2.8.

The trunk works with Zope 2.7 and Zope 2.8 and will become Five 1.1.
