I absolutely don't like that pattern either and I can asure you that 
this not my intention whastoever.

I want to group *big* chunks that have grown and will grow to sizable 
feature replica of Zope 3. For some features, we are almost entirely 
mimicking Zope 3 code, and that is organized into packages. What makes 
our situation different from the z3 one? I don't think Zope 3 overdoes 
packages (anymore at least; before package-gheddon  it was a pain, I agree).
