I'm deeply impressed. Just wondering... maybe this could be part of the Five
distribution?

How do you look up the main_template.pt? Does
here/main_template/macros/master look into the skins folder? This
would be very interesting as five pages are Z3-Templates and I didn't
know them to be Z2-ZPT-compatible.

I think the "right" way for this would be the lookup via
++ressources++ with main_template being registered as a file ressource. I
think this is not possible at the moment; when I tried a
restrictedTraverse on ++resources++something (which was available via
http), I got security exceptions.
