Philipp and I reached a conclusion on irc:

  * __call__ will be supported on all browser:pages

  * __getitem__ is indeed needed for macros (as Philipp already wrote in 
the mail)

  * we'll support these not by having them on BrowserView but putting in 
the right hairy mixins doing metaclass madness, so that it is not 
necessary for an individual view to subclass from BrowserView to have 
things work. If I understand that right. :)
