[railroad-dev] I am a bit lost

I will try to explain the difficulties I have met to install RailRoad 
(I will try to start it with Plone, but at this time it is not done).

1. A first comment about the presentation of the help
For me the best help available with RR is the "Railroad Installation 
Guide" which is NOT easy to find.

2. Requirements
- For me Apache 2 which I installed with darwinPorts come with Dav 
support, not sure it is always the case.
- libxml2 with python bindings => I met some difficulties to match the 
right version of Python and libxml2
libxml2 must be compiled with the appropriate options
- postgresql + psycopg=> necessary to run mk_conf.py script (I think)

3. pydavclient installation
Does not tell if it doesn't work properly, but there is a test.py 
script.

4. Railroad Apache configuration
OK with the sample but I didn't manage to do the simple installation 
(not using authorization)
Another problem is that if I do run again mk_conf.py it simply print me 
the apache conf.

5. Initialising a repository
 > python repoadm.py add railroad_data admin ***** localhost:82 
/www/rrr/ /www/rrr/ /www/rrr/
is the command I typed cause I had no idea of what I could make.
Do the params have to match with something entered before (I guess yes, 
but which of them ?).

6. The client data
Things I didn't do cause I am not sure the step before worked properly
and I don't know what params mean...

On the other side I already put Railroad and PloneRailroad directories 
in the Product dir of my Zope...

Then maybe some Icon will appear in my plone site and everything will 
become clear.
