my room is clean and i'm knitting.
the girl loves a project. i mean LOVES. it was like so fun to her to print them off, plan how she wanted to present them, go to the store for candy, sign, and put them together. she just bossed me around and made sure i tied the string right.
a conversation today
Buoy
acre of land is my favorite song of his.
we lived on a corner in a typical o.c. tract neighborhood.
if you eat like this, people will give you crap because it's so not trendy anymore. but if it will help a woman who would do anything to ovulate and conceive do that (and i know personally quite a few that this was the key for), then who cares what anyone says. and jennifer aniston doesn't eat carbs so there.
plan to be surprised. kue
let me preface this by saying that there is no one size fits all eating plan for someone with hormonal issues. for some women, cysts, irregular cycles, lack of ovulation, and too much testosterone and its effects are directly related to bad insulin regulation in their body. for these women, they may be able to restore better regularity with avoiding blood sugar spikes by not eating carbohydrates, therefore eliminating the insulin problem. that is why so many women can conceive with metformin or glucophage because these medicines work at that level.
i was born in orange county, where my parents had lived in the same house for like 20 years. they had both lived in so cal all their lives.
and then that got me thinking that, really, it's not just while laying in bed that she is watching out for me.
and i think i'm done cutting kits for a while.
off to the kindergarten valentine's day party
at 18 i planned to live the tahoe hippie life forever. one day i felt compelled, i knew it, i just had to leave. i packed up my car and moved to the central coast.
confession :: i miss saved by the bell
all kits are shipped. phew.
but the commonality between each experience was- it was out of my hands. i occasionally fell in love with someone who couldn't be had. i occasionally had to run from someone who wouldn't let me go.
you love him too, right?
but the main thing i love about this picture is tree cover you can see in the upper right corner. that's how it was all around the block. even on really hot days you could find a great place to play in some serious shade. everyone had a huge tree or trees somewhere on their property, and bushes, and ivy, and a great variety of things. the only reason we had those young trees on the corner was because my mom sold our big palm tree to some palm springs landscapers, ha!
I'll show you what i've been working on soon- they're presents and i have to give them away first. have a nice monday!
what i'm listening to this morning...again.
Off to the kindergarten valentine party
it makes me too happy. drawers full of yarn, too. glorious.
isn't life surprising? i was laying awake thinking last night about how different my life has gone then what i thought (in a good way).
i look for girls with purses that compliment mine.
breakfast: i always have two eggs and salsa. always. i don't really get sick of it, and it would really stink if i did because there's not a lot out there for breakfast. actually, when you are at your ideal weight and ovulating regularly you can have any kind of whole grain hot cereal without a problem. you know, steel cut oats, etc. i am not quite there yet. berries and grapes are pretty low on the glycemic index and i have those, too. oh and i love cottage cheese with fruit.
project 31 is rolling along. i have donations for every single item i need for the 31 newborn kits and lots of fabric donations and i will sew until there are 31 baby quilts too! thank you SO much, i was overwhelmed by the awesome response. packages are starting to arrive! i will be sure to post some pictures when i get it all together and ready to take to the humanitarian center. my heart is happy.
