Maciek and I had a chat on pypy-irc about it: we did not
seem to agree entirely.

Also, this ctypes-up-front approach was my original suggestion
(perhaps badly communicated) at the start of the ep-2007 sprint.

I have not had the motivation to fully explore the technical
merits of the two approaches. If ll2ctypes turns out to
work as advertised, perhaps I will succumb.
