Is it turned on in the kupu configuration? Check the toolbar tab.

Use the same transform when generating your email as gets used when 
rendering the web page. The uids are in the internal html, but the 
transform should ensure that they never get exposed to end users.
However there might still be a problem as the transform generates base-
relative urls. You must ensure you include a suitable base tag in the html 
for your email.
