Yes, that was a bug in kupu 1.4 beta 2. It should be fixed though if you
grab the latest trunk version.

Yes, that's another known bug. I think I fixed it this morning, so the 
latest trunk shouldn't have that problem. Alternatively you can stop the 
bug by toggling on the option in the configlet to use kupu's reference 
browser: you just need to turn that option on and save the configuration 
once after which the bug won't show whether the option is on or off.

As of 1.4 beta 2 (and 1.3.9) Kupu no longer requires xsltproc to install
a subversion checkout for plone.
