[Kss-devel] eggification

Hi all,

Greetings and welcome on tha kss-devel list.

I have started eggification of the kss packages under Martin Aspeli's
guidance. The change will effect the root repository structures (trunks
only now and branches later on as we proceed) but the external
dependencies will be adjusted immediately - so the change won't break
things.

We are forced to do this in order to allow plone to be checked out with
easy_install.

As a consequence we will also be able to install kss standalone /
demos / addons with easy_install or generate tarballs in an automated
way, handle versions, cross package dependencies, etc.

I will sum up the results on the list asap I have finished the work and
fully understood the consequences and new possibilities.
