 From 2.1b to 2.1 only very little has changed, if anything at
all.

I suggest that (if you don't mind) you _don't_ clean up the code
beforehand, but instead first send it to me as it is. (However,
it's important that I get to see only code that I can include
under the revised BSD license of ftputil. So if your work is/was
related to the work you did for your employer, there may be
problems with the usage rights.)

So I can think of how it fits into my view of ftputil before you
have the clean-up work. And, anyway, I'm curious. :-)
