Yes, I remember that you sent me mail about that. Is it ok to forward
it to the list? Perhaps someone else has more ideas than me. :-)

Regarding the socket.sendall() problems: Can you reproduce these
errors if you use ftplib.FTP alone, i. e. without using ftputil at
all? Looking at your last mail, it would be logical but you should try
it out and followup on this mail, just to be sure.

If the bug occurs also with ftplib.FTP alone, you should try to track
down whether the fault is with the server or ftplib.FTP.

Is there anything special with the server configuration? What happens
when you try to change or get the current directory with another FTP
client, e. g. an end user command line FTP client?

The problem may also result from network problems unrelated to the
server, for example hardware problems, firewall settings etc. Can you
run the DOCUMENTUM server and the client on the same machine and see
if the error still occurs?
