I hasten to add: It is not necesarry to immediately understand 
everything on that link, especially the part about strided arrays. The 
important thing is that a potential student gets the big lines and 
understands and can comment on some parts of it; also good questions can 
impress like nothing else.

(The page was written in a hurry and things could definitely be 
explained a lot better.)
