Any chance the same issue exists in Cython 0.10.3? With Sage on OSX 10.5 
in 64 bit mode I am seeing memory corruption issues when minpoly() calls 
libsingular's minpoly from rather odd places. The main difference 
between the 32 and 64 bit builds are that linSingular is compiled with a 
different allocator, i.e. mmap vs. malloc.
