Is there anything I can do to help you with this? (Or perhaps take over, 
if you now prioritize closures higher.)

I'm holding a full-day tutorial on scientific use of Cython, 18th of 
May, and I'd feel less embarassed if this was in a release by then, so 
that's a nice goal, although not all-overriding of course :-) But my 
recent focus on correct struct support with NumPy could certainly be 
shifted below complex numbers.
