From hpk at trillke.net Sun Jan 21 13:13:24 2007 From: hpk at trillke.net (holger krekel) Date: Sun, 21 Jan 2007 13:13:24 +0100 Subject: [codespeak-ann] codespeak switch trouble / 4 SVN commits replayed Message-ID: <20070121121324.GY16915@solar.trillke> Hi folks, this morning there was a switch of codespeak to another host (because of load problems) but we had to revert that switch. The old codespeak host is switched backed in and should work as expected. However, for two hours (SUNDAY between 10 and 12 AM GMT+1) the new system was temporarily in place, and serving an older version of the subversion repository. There were four commits going to that svn repository that have now been replayed on the now-back-in-place system, here is the exact list of revisions. OLD/BROKEN REVISION NEW REAL-REV path r36976 | arigo 37090 user/arigo/hack/pypeers r36975 | kobold 37089 z3/sqlos/trunk/src/sqlos r36974 | arigo 37088 user/arigo/hack/pypeers r36973 | kobold 37087 z3/sqlos/trunk/src/sqlos This means that Armin Rigo and Fabio Tranchitella (CCed with this mail) should check their Working Copies and also others should probably recheckout the above paths. I've triggered commit mails for the above new revisions after they were successfully replayed. So far, if you notice/have any other problems, please drop admin at codespeak.net a note (you may also use support at merlinux.de which is a mailing list not served by codespeak and thus not affected by codespeak problems). sorry for the inconvenience and a nice continued weekend to all! best, holger -- merlinux GmbH Steinbergstr. 42 31139 Hildesheim http://merlinux.de tel +49 5121 20800 75 (fax 77) From hpk at trillke.net Tue Apr 3 12:10:22 2007 From: hpk at trillke.net (holger krekel) Date: Tue, 3 Apr 2007 12:10:22 +0200 Subject: [codespeak-ann] downtime 4th april 1pm for some hours Message-ID: <20070403101022.GT18225@solar.trillke> Hi folks, due to physical server moves of the codespeak provider, there'll be a downtime from Wednesday, 4th April, from around 1pm (GMT+1) which might last a few hours, also because there will be IP-address changes. Come to the #pypy or #merlinux irc.freenode channels if you need more information and ask e.g. joe_mp. best, holger -- merlinux GmbH Steinbergstr. 42 31139 Hildesheim http://merlinux.de tel +49 5121 20800 75 (fax 77) From hpk at trillke.net Thu Apr 5 10:35:20 2007 From: hpk at trillke.net (holger krekel) Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2007 10:35:20 +0200 Subject: [codespeak-ann] codespeak back up (Re: downtime 4th april 1pm for some hours) In-Reply-To: <20070403101022.GT18225@solar.trillke> References: <20070403101022.GT18225@solar.trillke> Message-ID: <20070405083520.GO18225@solar.trillke> Hi again, so the codespeak downtime lasted longer than expected due to several confusing matters with the provider. Codespeak is now back up again and should be usable (this mail is routed by it). However, the system is not yet in the state we wanted it to be, particularly since one of the two underlying RAID1-discs appears to have trouble. We'll continue to sort this out and will try to find a way to minimize further downtimes. (on a sidenote, the slave host also has hardware problems, sigh). best, holger On Tue, Apr 03, 2007 at 12:10 +0200, holger krekel wrote: > Hi folks, > > due to physical server moves of the codespeak > provider, there'll be a downtime from > > Wednesday, 4th April, from around 1pm (GMT+1) > > which might last a few hours, also because there > will be IP-address changes. Two precisions: this will be done tomorrow Monday; and the "promized" svn update is only going to occur if there is no complication - the foremost goal for now is to fix the repository. FYI: Codespeak is currently hosted as a XEN instance on a Hetzner Server (www.hetzner.de). If you have general questions you may contact the admin at codespeak.net mailing list.
